Arrive Bangalore and drive to Pondicherry . The road trip takes us through some of the most breathtaking paths and roads. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit the very serene Promenade Beach. It’s a 1.2 KM walk starting from War Memorial (built in 1971), ending at Dupleix Park on the Goubert Avenue. Gandhi statue, built by sculptor Roy Choudhary ,is another popular monument. The highlight of the day is definitely the shopping at Nehru Street for the famous Papier-mâché products, handicrafts, terracotta potteries and marbled silk textiles. Return back to the hotel and Overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to visit Auroville. It is a brotherhood community, where people from all over the world come and live in harmony, leaving aside their differences of caste, nationality or any other. Matrimandir in the middle of the town is an exceptional and original architectural achievement, recognized by many. Post this; we visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram that sees devotees from all over the world. There is also Manakula Vinayagar Temple close to the Ashram, which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is an absolute delight to walk in this beautiful town. It feels like taking a walk in history as the buildings, streets and the beautiful cafes are truly reflective of the French style of living. The evening is spent at Chunnambar backwaters where the clear waters and the sound of the waves refresh the soul. Return back to the hotel and Overnight stay.
After breakfast, check-out from hotel and visit two of the most popular tourist spots in Pondicherry. First we go to The Eglise de Notre Dame des Anges (The Church of Our Lady of Angels), which is known for its masonry. After this drive to visit the beautiful Ousteri Lake, the place to be for birdwatchers. Later proceed to Bangalore Airport to depart the journey. Tour Ends….
